The traditional weekly markets take place throughout the year at the usual dates:

  • Every Tuesday at the Cesare Battisti lakeside in Desenzano del Garda from 8 am to 1 pm,
  • every Sunday in Via G. Di Vittorio in Rivoltella del Garda from 8 am to 1 pm,
  • every Saturday in Piazza per la Concordia in San Martino della Battaglia from 8 am to 1 pm.

Need for adrenaline rush? In Lonato del Garda South Garda Karting track, 1200 mt long and 9 mt. wide, the circuit is one of the most important International tracks.


From Desenzano or Sirmione Castles you’ll have a breathtaking view of the town and its harbour. In the spring and summer period, there are numerous events held outdoors, many of which are free of charge.

Take a short ride on a small funny train and explore one of the region’s main landmarks, Grotte di Catullo,  the largest and most complete roman villas in northern Italy and a must see for everyone curious about roman times.

  • the Botanical Garden of Andre Heller Foundation in Gardone  , currently hosting over 3000 different species of plants. Open daily from March to October, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • the Parco Giardino Sigurtà in Valeggio sul Mincio (VR) is sure worth a visit. Tulips, roses, waterlilies, you name it! you can visit this huge – 600,000 square meters – garden on foot, by bike and even riding a small train or on a golf cart. Open March to November.

Take a cruise of the whole lake or just cross it with the ferry boats  from Desenzano to Sirmione, Garda, Peschiera, Lazise, Bardolino, …



A city walk through Verona….and going to an opera in Verona is always highly recommended. Apart from some Saturdays it’s usually possible to get tickets without reservation. Tickets can be purchased online from
